Senior Systems Support Engineer

Role overview Play a critical role in keeping complex client applications stable, available, and operationally efficient, with deep involvement in incident management and DevOps practices. The position blends production support, debugging, and continuous delivery, with opportunities to mentor junior engineers and shape operational standards.

Responsibilities - Use incident management processes and application monitoring tools to generate reports and drive corrective actions. - Navigate complex application systems to debug business-impacting issues. - Apply standards and best practices that improve operational efficiency, stability, and availability. - Use continuous delivery practices to evolve, support, and deliver high-quality software early and often. - Leverage varied logging techniques for alerting, monitoring, and root-cause analysis. - Apply DevOps tools and practices to deploy and run software reliably. - Mentor less experienced peers through both technical knowledge and leadership.

Requirements - Hands-on experience with programming languages such as Java, React, or Angular, plus scripting in Python. - Strong debugging and triaging skills to troubleshoot production code effectively. - Experience with relational databases such as SQL and Databricks, plus non-relational databases. - Proficiency with containerization (Docker) and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Azure Pipelines. - Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, or Grafana and the ability to act on their metrics. - Comfort with Agile methods such as Scrum or Kanban and delivering well-tested bug fixes and enhancements. - Willingness to participate in a rotation- and needs-based 24x7 support model.

Nice to have - AI/ML experience and familiarity with AI-driven development tools. - A presence in the external tech community through speaking, open source, or blogging.
