Role overview A senior pre-sales security engineer role partnering with regional sales teams to advance an AI-driven threat detection and response platform designed for hybrid and multi-cloud enterprise environments. The position blends deep technical expertise with customer-facing skills to guide prospects through technical discovery, deliver compelling demonstrations and proofs of concept, and influence architectural direction. It is a hands-on contributor role combining technical account management, field engineering, and security thought leadership across large enterprise accounts.
Responsibilities - Support regional sales managers with pre-sales engineering and technical account management for named enterprise customers - Lead technical discovery sessions, deliver product demonstrations, and run proofs of concept that translate platform capabilities into customer value - Maintain deep technical fluency with the company's AI-driven detection and response platform and adjacent security product categories - Build strong technical relationships with customers and channel partners, identifying expansion opportunities along the way - Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and other field engineers on design reviews, release planning, and deployment forecast calls - Track the broader security landscape, including attacker techniques, competing offerings, and emerging threats - Travel within the assigned region as needed to support customer engagements
Requirements - 5+ years of experience in a technical account management or security engineering role, including large-account management - Deep familiarity with enterprise security product lines such as CASB, EDR, SIEM, or digital forensics platforms - Strong networking fundamentals with the ability to reason about the L3 through L7 OSI layers - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including RFP authoring, pre-sales presentations, and conference speaking - Self-starter mindset with a customer-first attitude and a willingness to do whatever it takes to solve problems - Working understanding of attacker methodologies (red team or penetration testing) and incident response (blue team) processes - Familiarity with cloud security and network architectures, including how security tooling integrates across environments
Nice to have - Offensive security certifications such as CEH, OSCP, or OSCE - Defensive or forensics certifications such as GNFA - Cloud security credentials such as AWS Certified Security Specialty - Broader security process certifications such as CISSP
