Senior Software Engineer, AI Platform

Role overview Build shared platform capabilities that help product teams develop and operate reliable AI features and agent workflows. The work combines backend engineering with applied AI, including execution infrastructure, model integrations, retrieval, evaluation, and debugging. You’ll partner with product engineers to turn experiments into reusable systems and own those capabilities through rollout and production operations.

Responsibilities - Develop shared SDKs, APIs, and infrastructure for AI-powered features and agent workflows. - Build support for long-running tasks, including checkpoints, retries, human review steps, and recovery after partial failures. - Improve the runtime that coordinates tools, context, memory, and model selection. - Create evaluation and debugging tools that help teams diagnose production issues and prevent regressions. - Improve model connections, retrieval, and context delivery to make AI behavior more useful and accurate. - Operate platform capabilities with attention to reliability, observability, performance, and customer data protection. - Work with product teams to identify common needs and encourage adoption of reusable solutions.

Requirements - Strong software engineering fundamentals and experience building and operating backend services, APIs, or developer platforms. - Hands-on experience shipping products powered by large language models or agent workflows, with an understanding of their failure modes. - Experience with workflow orchestration or durable execution, including idempotency, retries, and long-running state. - Familiarity with agent runtimes, tool design, context management, and related trade-offs. - Practical experience evaluating AI behavior: defining success, investigating failures, and measuring improvements. - Good product judgment, ownership, curiosity, and clear cross-team communication. - Regular use of AI in day-to-day work, with sound review and quality practices.
