SAP Integration Engineer (CPI/BTP) Freelance

Role overview Develop the SAP integration layer for an AI-assisted supplier invoice booking solution. Working alongside an Azure development team, you will connect a cloud application with SAP S/4HANA and help ensure invoice submissions are dependable, traceable, and handled consistently.

Responsibilities - Design, build, and test integrations using SAP Cloud Integration within SAP BTP. - Connect the Azure-based application to SAP S/4HANA supplier invoice APIs, defining interfaces, data mappings, and integration flows with the development team. - Implement authentication, validation, monitoring, error handling, and retry behavior. - Prevent duplicate submissions and maintain consistent processing across systems. - Add audit trails and approval checkpoints for automated financial actions. - Troubleshoot integration issues, support end-to-end testing, and document configurations, dependencies, and recovery steps.

Requirements - Hands-on SAP CPI and SAP BTP development experience. - Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA supplier invoice APIs and experience integrating SAP with external applications or cloud platforms. - Practical experience with API integrations, including OData and REST. - Understanding of SAP FI invoice processing and financial posting workflows. - Experience managing integration failures, retries, duplicate prevention, and transaction consistency. - Ability to work independently and closely with an Azure team; working proficiency in English.

Nice to have - Experience with SAP CIM, SAP Ariba, or integrations with Microsoft Azure services. - Familiarity with AI-assisted invoice processing or financial automation.
