Role overview A lead engineering role centred on an order-to-cash platform covering billing, credit, collections, cash application, and financial reconciliation. The role combines hands-on coding with technical leadership and partners with Product Managers, Architects, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure integrations. A core objective is embedding AI across the software development lifecycle and rapidly prototyping use cases that improve receivables automation and cash flow.
Responsibilities - Lead engineering of order-to-cash solutions and integrations across billing, credit, collections, cash application, and reconciliation platforms. - Partner with Product Managers to drive use-case discovery and rapid prototyping, turning AI ideas into working proofs of concept. - Move the team toward an AI-first software development lifecycle spanning discovery, design, coding, testing, code review, and delivery. - Remain hands-on in complex development while providing mentorship, code reviews, and architectural guidance. - Build reusable integration patterns, APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and engineering standards. - Troubleshoot complex production and integration issues while protecting data integrity and business value.
Requirements - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience. - 5+ years developing custom web, mobile, enterprise, or integration solutions, including 4+ years of full-stack development. - Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript and modern JavaScript (ES6+), React on the front end, and Node.js on the back end. - Back-end experience in Python and/or Rust, plus PostgreSQL and MongoDB. - Experience integrating financial or accounts-receivable systems across billing, AR, credit, cash application, and reconciliation. - Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and secure RESTful and GraphQL API design.
Nice to have - Familiarity with C#/.NET during legacy platform modernisation toward a TypeScript, Node.js, Python, and Rust stack. - Demonstrated curiosity for AI-assisted engineering and prototyping new use cases.
