Full-Stack Engineer

Role overview

Build production AI features into existing client products, working within their codebases and deployment setups rather than replacing them. You will implement complete features across APIs and interfaces, collaborating closely with client engineers and leaving behind software and documentation they can maintain. Reliability, measurement, and fit with the existing product are part of the implementation from the outset.

Responsibilities

- Learn unfamiliar codebases quickly and implement features that follow their established patterns. - Integrate model APIs with streaming, retries, rate limits, timeouts, and graceful fallback behavior. - Build interface states for loading, errors, and user review so AI behavior is understandable in practice. - Add logging and instrumentation to assess features against their intended outcomes. - Pair with client engineers, exchange code reviews, and document how to operate and maintain delivered work. - Identify fragile approaches and propose simpler implementations that can hold up in production.

Requirements

- At least 5 years building production web applications, including full-stack features that you have shipped and maintained. - Strong TypeScript and React skills. - Comfort working across API design, relational databases, and user interfaces. - Ability to integrate AI model APIs and build for production reliability, including tests, safeguards, fallbacks, and instrumentation. - Ability to work collaboratively in client codebases and communicate implementation decisions clearly.

Nice to have

Experience with Next.js is a strong plus.
