Role overview
Direct the Core Infrastructure team powering a cloud-native contact center platform used at scale. The role owns strategy and execution for foundational GCP services, networking, compute, base images, Terraform frameworks, and upgrade pathways, building reliable shared primitives that every engineering team depends on.
Responsibilities
- Lead and grow the Core Infrastructure team, setting vision and priorities for foundational cloud services. - Own design, deployment, and operation of shared cloud primitives including GCP organizations and folders, networking, load balancers, compute, base images, Terraform frameworks, and upgrades. - Define and enforce best practices for scalability, security, observability, and maintainability across the cloud platform. - Partner with product and engineering teams to enable fast, safe, and reliable development and deployment workflows. - Drive continuous improvement in processes, automation, and infrastructure reliability. - Mentor team members and foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and technical excellence.
Requirements
- 5+ years of cloud infrastructure engineering experience with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role. - Strong expertise in GCP, including organization and folder structure, networking, compute, load balancing, and IAM. - Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tooling, particularly Terraform. - Proven track record designing and operating scalable, reliable cloud systems. - Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills, with the ability to balance strategic thinking and hands-on technical understanding.
Nice to have
- Experience with base image management and automated upgrades. - Familiarity with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments. - Knowledge of cloud infrastructure security best practices. - Background in high-growth SaaS or contact center technology companies.
Benefits and work setup
Remote position with an annual US hiring range of $170,000 to $190,000, depending on geography, experience, and skills.
