About this role

Role overview A senior AI engineer is needed to join a core AI team that builds AI-driven products improving metabolic health outcomes for people living with chronic conditions such as type 2 diabetes and obesity. The work centers on shipping production AI features—including generative AI agents, deep learning models, and personalized recommendations—within a digital twin platform that combines predictive and generative AI. It is a hands-on engineering role, not a research position, with end-to-end ownership from ideation through deployment and continuous optimization.

Responsibilities - Drive the full lifecycle of AI products, from ideation and prototyping through development, deployment, and ongoing optimization - Own the engineering quality of AI systems, including evaluation frameworks, testing, CI pipelines for model behavior, and shared team tooling - Set and enforce engineering standards through code review covering testing practices, abstractions, observability, and production reliability - Apply advanced AI/ML and software engineering techniques to build conversational AI agents, deep learning models, and personalized recommendations that adapt to each individual's needs - Build and improve ML models that drive behavior change and support sustained metabolic health improvements across a diverse member base - Collaborate cross-functionally with clinical, medical research, business analytics, and engineering teams to design end-to-end AI-powered experiences

Requirements - 5+ years of industry experience developing AI and machine learning systems in production; experience with consumer-facing features is a plus - Strong software engineering fundamentals including testing, CI/CD, system design, and code review, plus hands-on experience building evaluation infrastructure for LLM-based systems - Experience creating applications that leverage LLMs, generative AI, advanced prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, and iterative AI evaluations - Experience integrating and deploying models in production AI systems - Proficiency in Python and software engineering best practices - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field - Authorized to work in the United States

Nice to have - Experience with Voice AI or specialized language models such as vision-language and multi-modal systems

Benefits and work setup - Annual compensation range of $200,000–$220,000 USD - Remote-friendly work setup available to US-based candidates - Competitive compensation package aligned with leading technology companies - Equity participation opportunity - Unlimited vacation with manager approval - 16 weeks of 100% paid parental leave for delivering parents and 8 weeks for non-delivering parents - 100% employer-sponsored healthcare, dental, and vision coverage for employees with 80% family coverage, plus HSA and FSA options - 401(k) retirement savings plan
