Role overview

Build data-rich web experiences that make complex healthcare pricing information easier to explore and understand. This remote Software Engineer II position is full stack in scope but emphasizes frontend development, visualization, usability, and performance. You will work closely with product and engineering teammates in a fast-moving environment, contributing from individual interface components through broader product decisions.

Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain web applications using Python-based services, including Django, and relational databases. - Create interactive frontend data visualizations that help users interpret complex pricing information. - Write maintainable, scalable code and improve the functionality of existing systems. - Test, debug, and troubleshoot applications across the frontend and backend. - Evaluate and prioritize feature requests based on user needs and product goals. - Collaborate with teammates to understand requirements and design practical technical solutions.

Requirements

- At least 3 years of professional Python experience, or strong experience in another language with some Python exposure. - Proficiency with frontend technologies such as React, TypeScript, or Vue.js. - Experience with Django or another established web framework such as Rails. - Solid understanding of SQL and effective database usage for application development. - Strong problem-solving, communication, and remote collaboration skills. - Curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies. - Computer Science or Engineering degree, equivalent experience, or comparable practical knowledge; non-traditional backgrounds are welcome.
