Role overview
Support software quality as an early-career Quality Engineer, carrying out tests and helping teams find and resolve defects. You’ll work with experienced quality engineers, developers, and product managers to validate features, support regression testing, and build your testing skills with guidance.
Responsibilities - Run assigned test plans and cases, including functional, regression, and integration checks across web, API, or data components. - Record defects with clear steps to reproduce and details about their impact; help reproduce issues, gather logs, and verify fixes. - Prepare and maintain test data for test execution. - Contribute to manual and automated test scripts using established patterns and team guidance. - Share progress, risks, and results with teammates, ask questions about requirements, and follow through on assigned work.
Requirements - Basic knowledge of testing concepts such as test cases, test data, defects, and severity or priority. - Familiarity with functional, regression, or integration testing and common software applications. - Exposure to bug tracking tools and Agile practices, including user stories. - Academic or practical experience with a scripting language such as Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, or Java. - Clear written and verbal communication, with the ability to learn tools and complete tasks with supervision. - Interest in using generative AI tools to help with test ideas, scripting, or information discovery.
Nice to have - Experience with a test management tool such as Xray or TestRail. - Prior use of AI-enabled tools for code completion, documentation search, or generating test ideas.
Benefits and work setup - Base pay varies by work location. Published annual ranges include Argentina: $26,824–$43,019; Mexico: $30,135–$48,329; Dominican Republic: $19,669–$31,544; and Costa Rica: $27,778–$44,549.
