Senior Full-Stack Engineer (Node.js/Svelte/React) - Software Industry

Role overview A senior full-stack engineer is needed to join a small, highly collaborative team building a modern web application for the legal industry. The position involves close collaboration with legal professionals and external stakeholders to design, develop, and deploy complex features spanning both frontend and backend systems. The role is client-facing with regular demos and direct involvement in architectural and technical decisions.

Responsibilities - Lead end-to-end design, development, testing, and deployment of complex features across frontend and backend systems - Build scalable, maintainable applications using TypeScript across client and server, integrating RESTful APIs with Node.js - Develop modern, responsive user interfaces with Svelte/SvelteKit or comparable frontend frameworks - Design and maintain relational database schemas, migrations, and queries with attention to performance and data integrity - Collaborate with product, design, engineering, and client stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions - Establish CI/CD pipelines and Docker-based development environments, and deploy services on AWS serverless infrastructure - Use AI-assisted development tools for planning, coding, testing, and debugging while exercising sound judgment about their limitations

Requirements - 5+ years of professional full-stack software development experience - Expert-level proficiency with TypeScript, including advanced language features and complex type definitions - Strong experience with server-side TypeScript and Node.js, including designing and consuming RESTful APIs - Strong experience with a modern frontend framework such as Svelte, SvelteKit, React, or Next.js - Hands-on experience with relational databases and SQL, including schema design, migrations, and query optimization - Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker workflows, and AWS cloud deployment - Demonstrated use of AI coding tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar, with the ability to articulate their capabilities and limitations - Strong communication skills and comfort working directly with clients in a small, autonomous team
