Senior Back-end Engineer (C#/.NET) - Software

Role overview A remote Senior Back-end Engineer role focused on designing and delivering high-quality, scalable enterprise SaaS applications on the Microsoft stack. The work supports a cloud-based HR platform tailored for government and educational institutions, spanning the full employee lifecycle from recruiting through development and management.

Responsibilities - Break down complex business problems into modular, clean solutions and build foundational frameworks using Domain-Driven Design and CQRS. - Build, maintain, and optimize RESTful APIs and microservices with C#, .NET Core, Web API, and Entity Framework. - Design SQL Server schemas, write complex stored procedures, and tune indexing and query performance. - Take end-to-end ownership of testing including unit, integration, and performance coverage. - Use AI development assistants to accelerate code generation, refactoring, and documentation. - Collaborate directly with Product Managers and cross-functional engineering squads to translate requirements into customer-focused features.

Requirements - 5+ years of experience in enterprise or SaaS development with C#, .NET Core, Web API, Entity Framework, and SQL Server. - Strong grasp of OOP, design patterns, enterprise architecture, multi-threading, and asynchronous programming. - Practical experience applying DDD and CQRS with clean separation between business and data access layers. - Daily hands-on use of AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot or Claude. - Familiarity with Angular or another modern front-end framework, plus Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile workflows. - Excellent written and verbal English communication skills and experience collaborating across distributed teams.

Nice to have - Production experience building AI-powered features such as intelligent search or NLP workflows. - Shift-Left or full feature ownership experience from design through deployment. - Exposure to event-driven architectures, asynchronous messaging, or distributed systems.
