Sr. Software Engineer

Role overview A senior software/SRE engineer role at an AI-driven precision medicine company focused on acute care, where you'll spend roughly 80% of your time writing and reviewing production code and 20% on functional team leadership. The work spans a full stack inside a HIPAA-regulated environment, with correctness and reliability being non-negotiable because patient-facing workflows depend on it.

Responsibilities - Build production-quality backend services in Go and Python, including APIs, data pipelines, and integrations. - Develop and maintain TypeScript and React frontend features with attention to UI quality and client-side performance. - Conduct substantive code reviews and author architectural decision records (ADRs), validating direction with hands-on prototypes. - Champion HIPAA-aligned security practices across data handling, auth, encryption, and audit logging. - Operate and monitor AWS and GCP infrastructure using Terraform/Terragrunt and Kubernetes (EKS and GKE), with deployment tooling such as Helm, Kustomize, ArgoCD, or Flux. - Maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or GitLab) and embed automated compliance and security gates into the SDLC.

Requirements - 7+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with consistent production contributions. - Expert-level proficiency in Go and/or Python for backend services, plus production TypeScript/React for frontend work. - Working Kubernetes experience including debugging workloads, tuning resource limits, and managing rollouts. - Hands-on AWS and GCP experience with managed services, networking, IAM, and containerized workloads. - Strong PostgreSQL skills across schema design, query optimization, indexing, partitioning, and migrations. - Experience operating in regulated or high-stakes environments where data privacy and auditability matter.
