A remote Semi-Senior Backend Engineer role supporting the modernization of a high-scale, cloud-native enterprise platform. The work centers on building containerized .NET microservices that run on AWS and Kubernetes, while weaving AI-assisted development tools into the daily engineering workflow. It is suited to a backend generalist who wants to grow into more senior ownership of infrastructure and data pipeline performance.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain high-throughput, secure backend microservices and RESTful APIs using modern .NET and .NET Core. - Containerize services with Docker and deploy them to AWS and Kubernetes clusters. - Partner with platform engineering teams to manage AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code tooling. - Use AI-powered development tools to accelerate coding, debugging, and code quality work. - Optimize complex SQL queries, schema designs, and data flow pipelines for scale and reliability.
Requirements
- Proven professional experience developing backend services, microservices, and RESTful APIs with modern .NET / .NET Core. - Practical, day-to-day experience using AI tools to speed up software development. - Hands-on experience with Docker and core AWS cloud services. - Deep familiarity with writing and tuning SQL, designing schemas, and working with modern data stores. - Direct experience deploying containers on Kubernetes, or writing Infrastructure-as-Code with Terraform or CloudFormation.
