Remote job
Full-Stack Engineer, AI Platform
Job details
About this role
Role overview
Build the internal product and platform capabilities that allow business teams to use AI-enabled agents safely for important operational work. The role focuses on making agent activity configurable, reviewable, observable, and correctable so automation can move beyond experimentation into dependable business workflows. You will work across the frontend, backend, data, and production lifecycle while partnering directly with the teams who use the systems.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement interfaces for configuring agents, reviewing their work, approving actions, correcting mistakes, and understanding outcomes. - Create observability and evaluation tools that show where agent behavior succeeds, fails, or changes over time. - Develop features end to end across React, TypeScript, service code, and data models. - Translate ambiguous operational needs from internal business teams into useful software. - Own features through design, implementation, testing, launch, monitoring, and post-release improvement. - Design for uncertainty, partial failure, and human intervention rather than assuming every automated result is correct.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience. - Strong frontend development skills with React and TypeScript, including complex state management and data-dense interfaces. - Solid backend engineering ability and the capacity to learn unfamiliar languages; the environment includes Go, PHP, and Python. - Working knowledge of relational and non-relational databases such as PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, or comparable systems. - Strong product judgment: able to identify the most valuable workflow improvements and decide what not to build. - Comfort working through ambiguity, closing knowledge gaps independently, and delivering in an evolving environment.
Benefits and work setup
- The source lists total cash compensation of $154,700–$200,200 for candidates based in Ontario or British Columbia, including base salary and applicable variable pay. Actual offers depend on level, qualifications, skills, and experience.
