AI Product Designer

Role overview A hybrid product management and product design role for an AI-focused e-commerce platform. The role owns the full outcome, from the first customer conversation through the shipped result, finding the problem, validating it, designing the solution, and writing the build tickets that engineering picks up. AI is both the subject of the work and the toolkit used to research, prototype, and design faster than a traditional team.

Responsibilities - Run discovery through customer interviews, usage analysis, and opportunity sizing, then decide what is worth building. - Write briefs that define problem, audience, success metrics, scope, and explicit non-goals, and own prioritization and tradeoffs. - Design flows, interactions, and visuals, including how the AI behaves: prompts, outputs, confidence signals, errors, and recovery paths. - Build working prototypes with AI tools and validate them against real inputs and real users before engineering commits. - Produce clear, build-ready tickets with acceptance criteria that engineers can run with asynchronously. - Track post-launch outcomes and decide what to iterate on next, while keeping the broader design language consistent across the product ecosystem.

Requirements - Three to five years of shipped product work you can walk through end to end, from problem to outcome. - Product management skills including discovery, prioritization, briefs, and writing tickets engineers can build from. - Hands-on experience designing for or with AI, plus daily use of AI tools in your own workflow. - E-commerce fluency: checkout flows, conversion, payments, and both merchant and buyer perspectives.

Nice to have - Background in SaaS, marketing tools, or creator-economy products. - Front-end skills sufficient to build functional code-based prototypes. - Experience with marketplaces or two-sided platforms.
