Role overview Help a globally distributed engineering team keep development of a peer to peer communications engine organized and moving. This early career project coordination role supports planning, delivery, and cross team communication for software that handles peer connections, data replication, room synchronization, calls, and file transfers.
Responsibilities - Track work across sprints and releases, keeping issues, milestones, and roadmaps current. - Run or support stand ups, planning sessions, and retrospectives, often asynchronously across time zones. - Coordinate dependencies between engine engineers, application and interface developers, and QA. - Prepare concise status updates, release notes, meeting summaries, and internal documentation. - Triage bug reports and user feedback, routing them to the right engineers. - Identify risks and blockers early and help the team address them.
Requirements - 1–2 years in project coordination, project management, or a related role; internships and open source work count. - Excellent written English and the ability to communicate technical progress clearly. - Strong organization, attention to detail, and reliable follow through. - Comfort working with engineers and learning technical concepts quickly. - Familiarity with issue trackers or project management tools such as GitHub Projects, Jira, or Linear. - Self direction and comfort in a fully remote, asynchronous team.
Nice to have Basic knowledge of networking or distributed systems, software development lifecycles, Git, or release processes; exposure to JavaScript or Node.js; interest in privacy, decentralization, or open source; Agile or Scrum training; or experience coordinating across multiple time zones.
