About this role
Role overview Help application teams build, review, test, and release dependable desktop and mobile software with less friction. You will create and maintain engineering tools and automation, including AI-assisted workflows, and guide improvements from initial implementation through adoption and ongoing support.
Responsibilities - Evaluate and maintain developer tools and AI agents, along with the integrations and repository guidance they need. - Build agents for CI and scheduled workflows that investigate failures, suggest fixes, and provide evidence engineers can use. - Improve automated pull request reviews by checking the accuracy of findings and reducing irrelevant alerts. - Create code quality checks for complexity, file and function size, dependency cycles, and performance changes; work with package owners on practical thresholds and refactoring. - Improve development environments, tests, and build and release processes so both engineers and agents can verify changes reliably. - Work with engineering teams to choose improvements, document and support adoption, and track effectiveness, reliability, and operating costs.
Requirements - Strong JavaScript or TypeScript and Node.js skills, with experience building developer tools or automation used by other engineers. - Practical experience using and integrating AI coding tools or agents, and judgment about validating their output and involving human review. - Experience with Git, CI/CD, automated testing, and systematic diagnosis of build, test, or integration failures. - A sound approach to maintainable code, useful automated checks, and behavior-preserving refactoring. - Ability to work independently, collaborate with engineers, and communicate clearly in English across a distributed team.
Benefits and work setup - Fully remote work with a globally distributed team. - Hands-on ownership and scope to shape the developer tooling roadmap.
