Quality Engineer

Role overview Build automated quality checks for cloud infrastructure and software deployment processes. The main focus is replacing manual DevOps deployment tests with reusable test suites that validate environments, pipelines, scripts, databases, applications, and container workloads before they are considered ready for production.

Responsibilities - Design, build, and maintain automated frameworks for deployment validation. - Convert manual test cases into repeatable automated suites and integrate them with Azure DevOps YAML pipelines. - Validate Azure environments, infrastructure configuration, virtual machine application deployments, and database connectivity. - Test container application deployments, configuration, and health checks. - Automate checks for PowerShell and shell scripts, including deployment scenarios such as upgrades, rollbacks, and failovers. - Work with DevOps, development, architecture, and product teams to improve reliability, security, and production readiness.

Requirements - Experience in quality engineering or test automation, including creating maintainable automated test solutions. - Strong working knowledge of Azure DevOps and YAML pipelines. - Ability to validate Azure cloud deployments, infrastructure, and application behavior. - Scripting skills relevant to PowerShell and shell-based deployment automation. - Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. - Demonstrated use of AI-assisted engineering tools to create or maintain tests, improve coverage, analyze defects or logs, or support automated validation.

Nice to have - Oracle deployment and validation experience, plus understanding of application-to-database connectivity. - Knowledge of high availability, failover, disaster recovery, Git-based source control, or release management. - Infrastructure as Code validation experience with Bicep, ARM, or Terraform. - Experience with Python, Pester, Robot Framework, or similar test automation tools. - Familiarity with agentic AI, Azure AI, OpenAI, or MCP-based solutions. - A relevant undergraduate or postgraduate qualification in computing, engineering, electronics, or science.
