Freelance Software Tester With Smart TVs (Remote in Ireland)

Role overview

This short-term freelance assignment involves functional testing of a streaming application on supported Smart TVs. Testers will install application builds, follow provided scenarios, assess key viewing and account experiences, and document defects and feedback through an online testing platform while working remotely from Ireland.

Responsibilities

- Set up a testing account and prepare the assigned Smart TV according to provided instructions. - Install application builds and execute functional test cases. - Check navigation, playback, login and account behavior, subtitles, audio, content discovery, localization, live events, and overall quality. - Report defects with clear reproduction steps and supporting screenshots or recordings. - Provide structured feedback about issues identified during each testing run.

Requirements

- Be at least 18 years old. - Be physically located in Ireland during October and November. - Be comfortable navigating a streaming application in English; native or bilingual English is preferred. - Have access to a Smart TV running Titan OS, specifically a supported Philips, Vestel, or JVC model. - Be available for approximately 30 minutes of account setup and typically 2–4 hours per testing run, with some runs potentially lasting up to 12 hours.

Nice to have

- Previous software testing experience is helpful but not required. - Introductory testing courses or preparation may be available for newcomers.
