Freelance Software Tester With Smart TVs (Remote in Austria)

Role overview Freelance, fully remote short-term opportunity for German-speaking testers based in Austria who own a Smart TV. The work involves functional testing of a new streaming platform across multiple smart-TV devices and gaming consoles as it launches in the Austrian market. Testers are paid by the hour regardless of whether bugs are discovered.

Responsibilities - Install app builds on the assigned TV or streaming device and follow provided test scenarios - Execute functional test cases covering playback, navigation, and core feature behavior - Capture clear reproduction steps, screenshots, or screen recordings when reporting defects - Submit structured feedback through the platform's defect-tracking interface after each run - Participate in intensive pre-launch testing, the September 30 launch event, and ongoing weekly test runs

Requirements - At least 18 years old and physically located in Austria during September - Comfort navigating a streaming application in German - Access to one or more supported devices: Samsung Tizen TV, LG TV, Hisense TV, Apple TV, or Xbox, plus a laptop or computer for accessing assignments - Roughly 30 minutes for initial account setup, with about 2–10 hours of testing per run on a flexible schedule - Prior software testing experience is welcomed but not required
