Field Application Engineer - AI Software & Hardware

Role overview A customer-facing Field Application Engineer position focused on helping enterprise clients adopt advanced AI software and hardware platforms. The role partners closely with sales and product teams to translate customer needs into platform improvements and successful real-world deployments. The work centers on cutting-edge AI workloads, including generative models and large language models, running on purpose-built silicon across software, compilers, networking, and semiconductor layers.

Responsibilities - Meet with customers through presentations, workshops, and technical sessions to understand AI/ML challenges and recommend effective solutions - Collaborate with sales and product teams to channel field insight into roadmap decisions, feature design, and developer-facing improvements - Translate complex technical concepts into clear narratives that resonate with both technical researchers and non-technical executives - Support developer-focused engagements that help customers get the most out of AI accelerators and custom silicon - Help shape future product enhancements based on observed customer usage patterns, friction points, and unmet needs

Requirements - 5+ years of customer-facing technical experience in enterprise settings, such as Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or Technical Account Manager - Demonstrated expertise in AI technologies and frameworks, including machine learning, deep learning, NLP, and computer vision - Hands-on proficiency with at least one major ML framework such as PyTorch or TensorFlow - Familiarity with embedded systems, FPGA architecture, or AI accelerators - Working understanding of data center and server architecture, including deployment, thermal, power, and infrastructure considerations

Nice to have - Background working directly with RISC-V CPUs or other custom silicon platforms - Experience fine-tuning large language models and optimizing vision models for production-scale pipelines - Curiosity about how compiler, networking, and silicon innovations intersect in modern AI stacks
