Role overview
A fully remote U.S.-based Salesforce Developer position on an internal Business Technology team, focused on building and scaling the go-to-market platform. The role combines hands-on engineering with technical leadership, including mentoring peers and setting development standards. Work spans core Salesforce clouds, Data Cloud, AI-driven automation, and external integrations across finance, HR, and sales systems.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and ship complex Salesforce solutions using Apex (classes, triggers, batch, async), Lightning Web Components, Flow, and custom metadata - Own the full development lifecycle from requirements analysis through production deployment across sandbox environments using Salesforce CLI and SFDX - Establish and enforce coding standards, test coverage requirements, and architectural best practices across the platform - Build and maintain Data Cloud data streams, data model objects, calculated insights, and activation targets supporting unified customer profiles - Develop and configure AI agents, prompt templates, and embedded AI features that streamline seller and support workflows - Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, static analysis, and deployment gating, while championing branching strategy and pull request reviews - Design and implement integrations between Salesforce and external platforms using REST/SOAP APIs and middleware such as MuleSoft
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience as a Salesforce Developer with Apex, LWC, declarative tooling, and Flow - Comfort with Salesforce DX, SFDX CLI, terminal workflows, and source-driven development across dev, QA, staging, UAT, and production - Experience with version control, pull request workflows, and CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Bitbucket, or Gearset - Working knowledge of Data Cloud concepts or comparable customer data platform patterns - SQL fluency for data validation, exploration, and pipeline debugging against data lake and Salesforce environments - Self-directed with a strong ownership mindset, plus the communication skills to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and lead design discussions
Nice to have
- Experience with MuleSoft, REST/SOAP API integration design, and event-driven architecture such as Platform Events or Change Data Capture - Familiarity with NetSuite, Workday, Clari, or Certinia integrations - Experience with Salesforce CPQ or Revenue Cloud - Active Salesforce certifications such as Platform Developer I/II, Data Cloud Consultant, Application Architect, or Agentforce Specialist - B2B SaaS or cybersecurity industry background - Comfort using AI-assisted development tooling like GitHub Copilot or similar assistants
Benefits and work setup
