About this role

Role overview Design and ship production AI capabilities that help enterprise teams interpret portfolio activity, identify risks, and make better planning decisions. You will work alongside product and domain engineers, initially incorporating work from external AI partners and then guiding how AI systems are built across the engineering group.

Responsibilities - Build statistical and machine learning detectors that distinguish meaningful portfolio changes from noise in event streams and connected tools. - Develop an LLM-based insight system that links signals to likely causes, supporting evidence, confidence levels, and useful next steps. - Create a reliable interface between natural-language planning rules and the structured inputs used by a deterministic scheduling engine. - Establish evaluation and testing pipelines, including prompt regression checks, model comparisons, and confidence calibration. - Define tools that let AI systems query domain data and run capacity or planning scenarios at runtime. - Advise product engineers on prompt design, model choice, evaluation methods, and agent architecture.

Requirements - Five or more years in software engineering, including at least three years building AI or machine learning systems for production use. - Shipped LLM-powered features or products used by real users. - Practical experience building multi-step agents with tool use and appropriate safeguards. - Strong grounding in prompt design, retrieval-augmented generation, function calling, context management, and evaluation-led development. - Production engineering habits, including testing, code review, CI/CD, and observability. - Experience with event-driven or streaming data and ability to work closely with product, design, and domain engineering colleagues. - Proficiency in Python and Kotlin or TypeScript.

Nice to have Experience with AWS Bedrock, Azure OpenAI, Vertex AI, MCP or comparable agent tooling, Monte Carlo simulation, optimization, scheduling, enterprise SaaS, or portfolio and resource planning. Open-source AI/ML contributions are also valued.

Benefits and work setup The role is remote-first. Listed benefits include health, dental, vision, and savings plans; training and work-from-home reimbursements; and professional development opportunities. The organization also offers flexible vacation in most locations, social activities, optional in-person meetups, and opportunities to travel to international offices.
