Remote job
Agent Fleet Architect
Job details
About this role
Role overview
Design and build the systems that let specialized AI agents, software tools, and people work together across an organization. The focus is on complete workflows: connecting capabilities and context, assigning work to the right agent or person, and ensuring important actions can be reviewed, observed, and improved. This is a hands-on architecture and implementation role that turns engineering foundations into practical, reusable agent fleets and automations.
Responsibilities
- Design how agents divide work, pass context, select tools, delegate tasks, and involve people for judgment or approval. - Compose existing APIs, data, permissions, knowledge, and tools into workflows that move from an initial signal to a completed action. - Work with engineering teams to identify which capabilities should become reusable infrastructure, and make those capabilities available to agents. - Decide when an agent should act, delegate, ask for input, or escalate; build in appropriate access controls and human review. - Make agent workflows observable and understandable, and improve their reliability and autonomy over time. - Evaluate models, tools, and architectures; refine useful systems and retire approaches that do not deliver value.
Requirements
- Practical software engineering experience and the ability to understand APIs, authentication flows, webhooks, payloads, schemas, databases, and data structures. - Ability to connect existing technical capabilities into working agent systems and workflows. - Product and operational judgment: focus on complete, useful outcomes rather than isolated demonstrations or one-off automations. - Ability to collaborate with engineering teams on reusable foundations while moving quickly to deliver workflows.
Benefits and work setup
The stated salary range is €50,000–€70,000 per year. Benefits typically include health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off and holidays, wellness support, life insurance, and learning and development opportunities; availability may vary by location.
