AI Solution Engineering Internship
Job details
About this role
Role overview A hands-on graduate-level internship on the solution engineering side of an AI platform serving financial services clients. The role focuses on turning messy, real-world financial workflows into reliable AI solutions and watching them go live in audited production systems. Two positions are open for a four to six month window, offering an unusually direct line from problem to production.
Responsibilities - Translate client requirements into concrete AI workflows and design end-to-end solutions on a node-based platform. - Configure and operate node-based workflow engines, taking ownership from first prototype through production. - Compose agentic and multi-step workflows that use tool calling, retrieval, and prompting strategies aimed at deterministic, schema-validated outputs. - Build solutions that handle difficult financial documents such as PDFs, Excel files, and emails, including imperfect and edge-case data. - Work alongside client teams to validate outputs, iterate quickly on feedback, and harden solutions until they are accurate, auditable, and trusted in production.
Requirements - Enrollment in a Master's program or recent graduation, with strong computer science fundamentals. - Deep curiosity about AI systems that goes past surface-level usage. - Comfort with open-ended problem solving and clear communication. - Advanced English, both written and spoken.
Nice to have - Familiarity with backend systems, APIs, or machine learning tooling. - Confidence working directly with stakeholders and translating fuzzy requirements into concrete solutions. - Interest in system design and the constraints of real production environments.
Benefits and work setup - Remote within Europe, running four to six months between July 2026 and February 2027, with some flexibility around semester schedules. - Two positions available, starting in July 2026. - Mentorship from experienced engineers and founders. - Quarterly team retreats and exposure to production AI systems and live client work. - Culture oriented around autonomy, focus, and early ownership of meaningful responsibility.
