About this role
Role overview Own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Release Engineering within a Platform Reliability area, focusing on the software delivery lifecycle and developer experience. The role treats internal engineering teams as primary customers, reducing friction in how they build, test, and ship applications while improving reliability signals.
Responsibilities - Define the end-to-end developer experience across development, build, testing, and release workflows. - Partner with engineering teams to map user journeys, identify pain points, and translate them into clear product requirements. - Drive adoption of platform best practices and converge on unified contracts across capabilities. - Use data to define and track KPIs such as MTTR, cycle time, release frequency, signal-to-noise ratio, and developer productivity metrics. - Collaborate with Platform, Product, Security, and vertical teams to sequence roadmap work and balance short-term firefighting with long-term investment. - Maintain a transparent, prioritised backlog across multiple stakeholder groups with clear trade-offs and success criteria.
Requirements - 5+ years in product management or technical programme/product roles, with significant focus on platform, infrastructure, SRE, or developer-experience domains. - Strong background in the software delivery lifecycle and CI/CD pipelines across multiple ecosystems. - Hands-on familiarity with CI/CD systems, Kubernetes, and modern software development practices. - Proven ability to collaborate with engineers on architecture, failure modes, SLOs, and operational constraints. - Demonstrated success building internal products with measurable impact on developer productivity or reliability. - Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence without formal authority.
Nice to have - Experience designing or migrating CI/CD tooling across complex workloads. - Familiarity with feature flags, deployment strategies, service catalogues, and runbook automation. - Background connecting engineering signals to customer-experience and business metrics. - Experience introducing golden paths and self-service platforms that reduce cognitive load. - Comfort applying AI and automation to reliability and developer-experience workflows. - Background in high-availability domains such as fintech, betting, gaming, or large-scale consumer platforms.
Benefits and work setup - Medical or health insurance and an Employee Assistance Programme. - Open annual leave policy and structured training and learning-development opportunities. - Additional benefits vary by country and are shared during the hiring process.
