Job details
About this role
Role overview Lead a Platform team focused on release enablement, engineering quality, and developer productivity across a growing international organisation. The role partners closely with product engineering, QA, SRE, and engineering leadership to make shipping software faster, safer, and more predictable.
Responsibilities - Lead and develop a high-performing engineering team, supporting growth, managing performance, setting clear expectations, and fostering impactful work. - Drive improvements in release engineering and software delivery, owning the systems, workflows, and practices that enable frequent, confident releases. - Improve engineering quality at scale by partnering with QA, product engineering, and platform teams on quality gates, testing strategies, release readiness, and production confidence. - Reduce friction in the engineering workflow across build times, CI reliability, local development environments, test feedback loops, deployment flows, and operational handoffs. - Guide architectural decision-making for CI/CD, automation, developer tooling, test infrastructure, and platform integrations. - Translate engineering improvements into measurable business outcomes for delivery speed, release quality, and developer experience.
Requirements - Engineering management experience, ideally leading platform, release engineering, QA, developer productivity, infrastructure, or tooling teams. - Strong understanding of modern software delivery practices, including CI/CD, release automation, deployment pipelines, testing strategies, and quality gates. - Experience improving developer workflows at scale, such as build systems, local development environments, test infrastructure, monorepos, CI reliability, or internal developer platforms. - Technical depth in platform engineering with the ability to guide architectural decisions and challenge trade-offs. - Strong people leadership skills, including coaching, expectation setting, career development, and creating clarity in ambiguous environments. - Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, especially when working across teams that depend on shared platforms or centralised tooling. - Pragmatic approach focused on solving real engineering problems and measuring impact, avoiding tooling for tooling's sake.
Benefits and work setup - Medical or health insurance. - Open annual leave policy. - Employee Assistance Programme. - Training and learning development support. - Additional benefits vary by country and will be discussed during the hiring process.
