Data Analytics Intern

Role overview

This remote internship places analytically minded students inside a fast-moving data team for a defined winter term running from early January through late April. The role centers on turning large, messy datasets into clear stories that business stakeholders can act on, supporting growth strategy across marketing, product, and operations. Interns work alongside full-time staff on projects that actually ship, contributing measurable work rather than shadowing.

Responsibilities

- Pull, clean, and structure raw data so that downstream teams and stakeholders can answer their own questions - Build and maintain automated dashboards and funnel visualizations for various internal groups - Run deep-dive analyses on marketing channel performance, including segmentation and regression modeling - Translate quantitative findings into concise narratives tied to business outcomes - Promote a data-driven culture by framing decisions around measurable evidence - Manage shifting priorities with minimal supervision while welcoming mentorship and feedback

Requirements

- Proficiency writing SQL queries against complex, multi-source datasets - Working knowledge of Python or R for analytical workflows - Familiarity with at least one modern analytics stack such as Looker, Amplitude, dbt, or Snowflake - Solid grasp of common statistical methods and how they apply to real-world problems - Eligibility to work in Canada with capacity for a 40-hour week - Availability for at least six hours of daily overlap with the Eastern Time zone
