Software Engineer - Storage

Role overview Build and improve a large-scale object storage service that helps developers upload, store, process, and deliver digital assets. The work spans client libraries, command-line tools, edge delivery, the storage server, and deployment infrastructure, with a focus on making storage faster, more reliable, and easier to use.

Responsibilities - Improve storage for analytics and open file formats. - Optimize assets and delivery performance for websites and mobile applications. - Expand edge capabilities for faster uploads and features such as automatic cache invalidation. - Improve storage server performance, observability, and reliability. - Collaborate with frontend engineers on a responsive storage explorer and improve APIs, client libraries, and command-line tools. - Resolve escalated support cases and address recurring platform issues at their source.

Requirements - Five or more years of backend engineering experience running Node.js services in production. - Experience building or operating scalable distributed systems. - Comfort working across application development and infrastructure tasks such as deployment, monitoring, and scaling. - Familiarity with observability tools and performance tuning. - Production experience with PostgreSQL, including troubleshooting and tuning. - Ownership of projects from planning through delivery, with attention to developer experience.

Nice to have Experience with developer tools, cloud platforms, containers, large file transfer pipelines, or content delivery networks is useful. Familiarity with image and video processing, modern media formats, or frontend frameworks is also a plus.
