Senior Anti-Fraud Analyst

Role overview

Investigate fraud using live production data and help improve the quality of fraud detection for customers. You’ll analyze emerging patterns, evaluate how well existing controls perform, and identify missing data or signals that could strengthen protection.

Responsibilities - Search live data for harmful or emerging fraud patterns and recommend protective actions to customers. - Analyze fraud prevention proofs of concept and assess detection performance, including false positives, missed fraud, and coverage gaps. - Combine data from multiple sources to investigate fraud and identify useful additional signals. - Apply statistical and machine learning methods to investigations and detection evaluations. - Build and improve baseline rules and proactive alerts for common and emerging scenarios. - Assess signal and data quality, then communicate findings through clear reports.

Requirements - At least three years in anti-fraud, risk analytics, or another analytical role involving complex data and anomaly detection. - Practical experience in fraud prevention or fraud analytics. - Strong Python and SQL skills, with knowledge of classical machine learning for analysis and model building. - Regular use of AI tools such as language models, coding assistants, or agents, with the ability to validate their results critically. - Skill in evaluating detection through false positives, false negatives, and other relevant metrics. - Ability to work with imperfect data and explain findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences; fluent English.

Nice to have - Experience with ClickHouse, Trino, Superset, or comparable analytics tools. - Production machine learning experience.
