ARG Engineering Manager

Role overview

This role leads an engineering team identified as ARG within a larger engineering organization, combining people management with technical direction. It is a fully remote position based in the United States and is well suited to an engineering leader who enjoys both coaching engineers and shaping delivery for a specific domain.

Responsibilities

- Manage and grow a team of engineers, including hiring, coaching, and performance reviews - Set the technical direction for the team's area and own delivery against it - Partner with product, design, and adjacent teams on priorities, planning, and execution - Drive operational practices such as on-call rotation, reliability, and code quality - Contribute to broader engineering initiatives, standards, and culture

Requirements

- Prior experience managing engineers who ship production software - Strong technical background that allows meaningful review of architectural decisions - Demonstrated ability to collaborate with product and design counterparts - Comfort operating in a remote-first, US-based environment
