AI Transformation & Operational Efficiency Manager

Role overview Lead practical AI and automation projects that improve how teams across a multi-function business operate. You’ll assess workflows, prioritize opportunities by business value, and guide initiatives from discovery through rollout and measurement. The initial focus is Accounting and Finance, with work extending across other departments.

Responsibilities - Map processes with department leaders and identify suitable opportunities for AI or automation. - Compare potential initiatives by expected impact, cost, complexity, efficiency gains, and return on investment; build business cases and priorities. - Maintain an organization-wide AI roadmap and turn selected opportunities into scoped plans with budgets, timelines, milestones, and outcome measures. - Lead projects through solution selection, implementation, employee adoption, and ongoing improvement. - Improve finance workflows such as payables and receivables, reconciliations, reporting, expenses, budgeting, and forecasting while supporting accuracy and controls. - Select and manage vendors and implementation partners, oversee integrations, and coordinate responsible-use practices covering confidentiality, security, human oversight, and compliance.

Requirements - Seven or more years in project management, business transformation, enterprise technology, AI implementation, operational improvement, or related consulting. - Record of taking complex cross-functional initiatives from assessment to implementation and measurable results. - Working knowledge of generative AI, large language models, workflow automation, and business applications. - Experience mapping processes, planning improvements, and measuring return on investment. - Ability to manage external partners, budgets, timelines, and deliverables. - Familiarity with Accounting and Finance processes, reporting, controls, or systems; strong communication and organizational skills. - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have Experience delivering AI or automation across functions; familiarity with AI, workflow automation, or enterprise data platforms; ERP or financial reporting tools; consulting or transformation work; or an advanced degree or project management certification.
