Senior DevOps / Infrastructure Engineer (Americas, US time zones)

Role overview A vertically integrated onchain finance team is hiring a senior DevOps and infrastructure engineer to anchor US-hours coverage for the production systems behind a Web3 wallet application and a high-throughput decentralized exchange for Japanese equities. This is a hands-on, end-to-end ownership role spanning cloud, Kubernetes, CI/CD, databases, observability, security, and blockchain node operations, based physically in a US time zone (UTC-8 to UTC-5).

Responsibilities - Own infrastructure architecture and operations for the user-facing wallet platform, the decentralized exchange, and other production systems. - Design, build, and operate highly available cloud infrastructure on AWS, including Kubernetes clusters, networking, storage, scaling, and upgrades. - Manage infrastructure as code with Terraform, GitOps workflows, and CI/CD pipelines that support safe rollouts and rollbacks. - Operate PostgreSQL in production, covering availability, replication, backups, performance tuning, and recovery. - Build observability across infrastructure, applications, databases, and blockchain nodes, with alerting that catches incidents early. - Run blockchain infrastructure including nodes, RPC services, and indexers, and monitor them down to protocol-level sync, connectivity, and transaction processing. - Design disaster recovery and failover for critical systems, and harden security through access control, secrets management, vulnerability management, and monitoring. - Diagnose production incidents across the full stack and replace manual procedures with automation.

Requirements - 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, platform, or infrastructure engineering. - A track record of building and operating production infrastructure for highly available systems where availability directly affected users or the business. - Deep, hands-on Kubernetes, AWS, and Linux experience. - Infrastructure as code with Terraform, GitOps practices, and CI/CD pipeline design. - Solid networking fundamentals including DNS, load balancing, TLS, and service discovery. - PostgreSQL in production: replication, backups, recovery, and performance. - High-availability design, incident response, root-cause analysis, and capacity planning. - Hands-on experience operating blockchain infrastructure such as nodes, RPC, indexers, validators, or data pipelines, with an understanding of how distributed blockchain networks fail.

Nice to have - SecOps or cloud security experience, hardening production environments, and AWS security services plus IAM design. - Bare-metal operations, Helm or ArgoCD, messaging systems like Kafka or NATS, and observability stacks such as Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, or OpenTelemetry. - Operating chain infrastructure at significant scale on Ethereum, Polkadot, or L2 ecosystems. - Background in financial, trading, or other latency-sensitive systems; using AI tools in infrastructure workflows; and proficiency in Go, Rust, or TypeScript.
