Role overview This senior staff engineering role sits at the intersection of platform architecture and analytics infrastructure for an AI-powered advertising and marketing platform. The Data Delivery team transforms raw campaign activity, including impressions, clicks, conversions, spend, and audience reach, into trusted, actionable reporting for customers and internal teams. The position calls for broad technical leadership that shapes long-term strategy across multiple product and engineering groups.
Responsibilities - Define long-term technical strategy for Data Delivery and adjacent Stats & Analytics domains. - Lead cross-team initiatives that align groups on durable, scalable technical solutions. - Design and evolve systems that support reporting, measurement, forecasting, billing, exports, and analytics capabilities. - Make high-impact architectural decisions across APIs, data pipelines, data models, distributed systems, storage, and serving layers. - Partner with product, data science, analytics, and business leaders to translate priorities into technical roadmaps. - Mentor and coach engineers, including senior engineers, through design reviews and strategic guidance.
Requirements - Experience shaping technical direction across multiple teams, domains, or large platform areas. - Deep expertise building scalable backend services, distributed systems, or data-intensive applications. - Strong judgment in system design, including APIs, pipelines, databases, and observability. - Demonstrated ability to weigh trade-offs around correctness, latency, freshness, cost, and maintainability. - History of improving reliability, scalability, data quality, and operational practices at a systemic level.
Nice to have - Background in adtech, martech, reporting, analytics, billing, attribution, forecasting, or high-volume event processing.
