Software Engineer - Bash, Linux & Migration

Role overview This mid-level software engineering role supports system migration and modernization initiatives in an enterprise setting, with a focus on automation, platform configuration, and operational tooling. It is a remote position based in Latin America, working alongside engineering, operations, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable solutions.

Responsibilities - Support system migration and modernization initiatives end to end - Configure and implement platform solutions aligned to business requirements - Develop and maintain Bash scripts for automation and operational tasks - Manage source code in GitHub and apply source-control best practices - Perform testing, validation, and quality assurance activities - Analyze data and ensure accuracy across systems and processes - Document technical processes, configurations, and findings clearly - Collaborate with engineering, operations, and business teams

Requirements - 4 years of experience in software engineering or technical systems support - Strong Bash scripting skills for automation and operational work - Hands-on experience with GitHub and source control management - Ability to troubleshoot and analyze technical systems - Strong attention to detail and data accuracy - Excellent communication and documentation skills - Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams

Nice to have - Experience with migration or system implementation projects - Familiarity with platform configuration and deployment activities - Exposure to QA, testing, and verification processes - Basic knowledge of COBOL or legacy/mainframe environments - Enterprise environment experience
