About this role
Role overview Manage IT audit and compliance work while developing a team and improving how audit processes operate. You’ll coordinate external audits, strengthen internal controls and SOX readiness, and work with engineering, finance, legal, and people teams to address risks and make compliance more efficient.
Responsibilities - Plan, conduct, and report on SOC 1, SOC 2, and financial statement audits, coordinating external auditors and internal stakeholders. - Implement and monitor IT general controls and SOX compliance; identify control gaps, assess risk, and guide remediation with partner teams. - Develop AI-supported and automated audit workflows to reduce manual effort and support scalable compliance operations. - Manage and coach team members, set clear expectations, and support progress against individual development plans. - Lead controls testing, track SOX readiness and IPO-readiness milestones, and present progress and process improvement plans to leadership. - Build strong working relationships across engineering, finance, and legal, translating technical control issues into business-relevant updates.
Requirements - At least five years of experience in IT audit, internal controls, or information security, including at least two years managing people. - Demonstrated expertise in SOC 1 and SOC 2 audits, IT general controls, and SOX compliance. - Active CISA certification. - Ability to manage multiple audit programs in a fast-moving environment. - Experience using automation or AI tools to improve audit or compliance workflows. - Strong communication skills, including explaining technical controls and risks to senior stakeholders.
Nice to have - CPA designation.
