Role overview
A junior IT Support Engineer position delivering reliable technical assistance across a globally distributed organization. The role blends day-to-day help desk work with hands-on involvement in employee onboarding, device provisioning, access management, and asset tracking, while offering exposure to emerging AI and automation tooling within a fast-moving technical environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver responsive technical support to employees for hardware, software, identity, network, and cloud application issues - Run onboarding and offboarding workflows, including laptop setup, account provisioning, and application access - Configure, deploy, track, and maintain laptops and other IT equipment while keeping inventory accurate - Help administer Google Workspace, device management platforms, and other core workplace systems - Support identity and access management activities covering SSO, MFA, endpoint security, and SaaS applications - Troubleshoot problems across macOS and Windows environments, with opportunities to support Linux - Maintain IT documentation, access records, and the internal knowledge base - Partner with People, Security, Legal, Finance, and Engineering teams on cross-functional technology needs - Identify opportunities to streamline support through automation and help test emerging productivity tools
Requirements
- Early-career experience in IT support, help desk, desktop support, systems administration, or a related technical role - Foundational knowledge of macOS and Windows devices, networking fundamentals, and cloud applications - Familiarity with Google Workspace and device-management platforms such as Kandji, Jamf, or comparable tools - Basic understanding of SSO, MFA, endpoint security, and SaaS administration concepts - Strong troubleshooting skills paired with a willingness to learn new systems - Clear written and verbal communication skills and a service-oriented, patient approach - Strong attention to detail with the ability to juggle multiple concurrent requests and priorities - Interest in generative AI, automation, and emerging workplace technologies
Nice to have
- Experience supporting remote or globally distributed teams - Familiarity with tools such as Okta, Slack, Zoom, Atlassian, and GitHub - Exposure to Linux, AWS, or Google Cloud environments - Basic scripting ability in Python, JavaScript, or comparable languages - Familiarity with IT ticketing systems, asset-management platforms, or knowledge bases - Exposure to SOC 2, ISO 27001, access reviews, or other compliance activities
Benefits and work setup
