About this role
Role overview The Backend Engineer (Python) joins the team building an automated platform for managing and optimizing Apple Ads at scale, part of a broader mobile-marketing ecosystem used by globally recognized apps. The role focuses on designing and operating high-load, data-intensive Python services that handle hundreds of millions of records per day within a microservices architecture.
Responsibilities - Design and implement scalable, high-load backend systems in Python. - Adapt the product to work with very large data volumes, processing more than 200-400 million records per day. - Build and maintain data pipelines, integrations, and analytics components. - Enhance system reliability, security, and performance across backend services. - Develop, deploy, monitor, and maintain backend products in production. - Collaborate on building and scaling microservices-based solutions. - Conduct thorough code reviews within the domain and provide constructive feedback to peers. - Work closely with cross-functional teammates including frontend, QA, and product management.
Requirements - 4+ years of professional software development experience using Python. - Hands-on experience with Python web frameworks such as Django or FastAPI. - Experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases, including performance optimization. - Familiarity with async task queues such as Celery, Redis, Kafka, or RabbitMQ. - Experience building microservices-based systems and scaling them. - Working knowledge of modern CI/CD approaches and tools. - Solid understanding of standard web technologies and security principles. - Ability to make architecture decisions with a strong focus on business impact.
Nice to have - Experience with StarRocks, Airflow, or Kafka Connect. - Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS infrastructure.
