Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain APIs including a public text-to-speech API plus internal services for payments, subscriptions, auth, and usage tracking - Own the backend API landscape end to end, improving performance, scalability, and long-term maintainability - Partner on B2B initiatives, tailoring integrations and customization for enterprise customers - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to keep backend architecture aligned with product strategy and user experience - Contribute to a flat team culture where technical leadership emerges from consistent, high-impact delivery
Requirements
- Proven backend engineering experience with TypeScript and Node.js - Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform and working familiarity with AWS, Azure, or comparable providers - Ability to prioritize work by urgency and impact while moving quickly from idea to implementation - Strong communication skills and a results-driven work ethic

- Experience with Docker and containerized deployments - Comfort deploying high-availability applications on Kubernetes
