Role overview Build the engine behind an AI-powered platform that helps anyone turn an idea into a website, online store, or web app. The role focuses on backend services and APIs that power a vibe coding experience, with end-to-end ownership of features in an autonomous, fast-moving squad that treats AI agents as everyday build partners.
Responsibilities - Design and develop backend systems and APIs using Node.js that power the AI Builder and eCommerce experience. - Take ownership of backend features and services, learning to make architectural decisions with guidance from senior engineers. - Focus on API performance, database optimization, and system scalability across production workloads. - Integrate third-party APIs and implement data storage solutions that users rely on. - Write tested, documented, and scalable code that delivers clear business value. - Collaborate closely with frontend developers, product managers, and other engineers to ship impactful features.
Requirements - 2+ years of experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL or MySQL in production environments. - Solid understanding of REST APIs with a track record of shipping features that real users depend on. - Experience with message queues such as RabbitMQ, BullMQ, or GCP PubSub. - Working knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and containerization. - Familiarity with observability tools such as Grafana or similar solutions. - Testing experience with unit and integration testing frameworks such as Jest or Mocha. - Comfort with SQL, at least one ORM such as Sequelize, TypeORM, or Prisma, and Redis. - Git proficiency and a self-starter mindset with strong cross-functional communication skills.
Nice to have - Exposure to microservices architecture. - Performance monitoring and optimization experience. - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines. - Experience with AI tools and large language model providers. - Terraform experience.
