Role overview A senior iOS engineering position focused on the core text-to-speech mobile application, building features that help millions of users consume written content as audio. The role is embedded in a dedicated product team within a fully distributed, flat-organization environment that prizes fast execution and product-driven decision making.
Responsibilities - Lead engineering and product decisions for the iOS app, shaping both technical direction and user experience - Ship production Swift code on a regular cadence, maintaining high standards of quality and stability - Maintain and evolve a complex, large-scale iOS architecture that supports a rapidly growing user base - Participate in roadmap discussions, contributing product perspective alongside designers and cross-functional teammates - Mentor within the engineering culture, with leadership earned through consistent technical execution
Requirements - Senior-level experience shipping iOS products that scaled to a large user base, ideally from inception through meaningful traction - Strong proficiency in Swift and SwiftUI, with multithreading expertise for performance-sensitive code paths - Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, Fastlane, and modern Git workflows and branching strategies - Solid grasp of SOLID principles applied consistently across class and module design - Demonstrated product thinking, customer obsession, and the ability to prioritize between quick wins and longer-term investments in a fast-paced startup environment
Nice to have - Background supporting accessibility or inclusive design initiatives for diverse user populations - Exposure to AI-driven audio or voice synthesis products
