About this role

Role overview A Senior iOS Engineer is needed to help expand a consumer text-to-speech reading app used by over 50 million people to listen to PDFs, books, articles, and other written content. The position sits inside a fully distributed product engineering team and centers on growing the iOS user base, which is ranked among the top productivity apps and recently earned a 2025 Apple Design Award for Inclusivity. The work blends hands-on Swift development with strategic product thinking in a flat, fast-moving organization.

Responsibilities - Lead key engineering and product decisions within the iOS app area - Ship production code for the iOS application on a continuous basis - Collaborate inside a dedicated product team to plan and execute releases - Take part in product discussions that shape the roadmap and feature direction - Maintain and enhance a complex existing app architecture

Requirements - Demonstrated success building products that scaled to a large user base - Track record of engineering products from inception through meaningful traction - Strong customer obsession and a focus on delivering excellent user experiences - Product-thinking skills, with the ability to guide designers and teammates on direction - Proficiency in Swift and SwiftUI, including multithreading programming - Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Fastlane, Git workflows, and applying SOLID principles to everyday code

Nice to have - Familiarity with audio, AI, or accessibility-focused products
