Role overview A Senior iOS Engineer is needed to advance a consumer text-to-speech reading app trusted by more than 50 million people to listen to PDFs, books, articles, and other written content. The engineer will join a fully distributed product team focused on scaling the iOS client, which ranks among the top productivity apps and recently earned a 2025 Apple Design Award for Inclusivity. The role suits someone who thrives at the overlap of hands-on Swift development and product strategy in a flat, fast-moving organization.
Responsibilities - Lead key engineering and product decisions for the iOS app - Ship production code for the iOS application continuously - Partner inside a dedicated product team to plan and execute releases - Contribute to product discussions that shape the roadmap and feature direction - Maintain and enhance a complex existing app architecture
Requirements - Experience building products that scaled to a large user base - Track record of engineering products from inception through meaningful traction - Strong customer obsession and commitment to excellent user experiences - Product-thinking skills and ability to guide designers and teammates on direction - Proficiency in Swift and SwiftUI, including multithreading programming - Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Fastlane, Git workflows, and applying SOLID principles to everyday code
