About this role
Role overview A Senior iOS Engineer is sought to help grow a consumer text-to-speech reading application whose user base has passed 50 million people across iOS, Mac, Android, Chrome, and web. The role is embedded in a fully distributed product engineering team and focuses on scaling the iOS client, which sits among the top productivity apps and recently received a 2025 Apple Design Award for Inclusivity. The position suits someone who enjoys pairing hands-on Swift development with product strategy in a flat, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities - Drive key engineering and product decisions within the iOS app area - Ship production code for the iOS application on an ongoing basis - Work inside a dedicated product team to plan and execute releases - Join product discussions that shape the roadmap and feature direction - Maintain and evolve a complex existing app architecture
Requirements - Proven track record building products that scaled to a large user base - History of engineering products from inception through meaningful traction - Customer-obsessed mindset focused on delivering excellent user experiences - Product-thinking skills and the ability to guide designers and teammates toward the right direction - Strong proficiency in Swift and SwiftUI, including multithreading programming - Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Fastlane, Git workflows, and applying SOLID principles to everyday code
