Role overview Help shape the future of mobile reading as a Senior iOS Engineer based in Portland, Oregon, working on a category-leading text-to-speech application used by more than 50 million people. The iOS app is a top performer in its App Store category and was recently awarded Apple's 2025 Design Award for inclusivity. Responsibilities - Influence major engineering and product decisions for the iOS application - Ship production Swift and SwiftUI code as a core contributor on the iOS team - Collaborate within a dedicated product squad that spans design and engineering - Contribute strategic input during product planning and roadmap discussions - Own and extend a complex, mature iOS architecture supporting millions of daily users
Requirements - History of shipping iOS products that scaled to substantial user bases - Ownership experience from initial product concept through meaningful traction - Expert-level skills in Swift and SwiftUI - Multithreading, CI/CD, and Fastlane experience in production environments - Strong application of SOLID principles and Git workflow knowledge - Customer-obsessed approach, sharp product instinct, and comfort operating at speed
