A senior iOS engineer is needed to help scale and evolve a widely used text-to-speech mobile application that serves tens of millions of readers worldwide. The role sits inside a dedicated product team at a fully distributed organization and centers on shaping roadmap decisions, shipping production code, and refining a complex existing codebase. The ideal candidate thinks strategically, moves quickly, and cares deeply about crafting polished user experiences inside a high-growth consumer environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead key engineering and product decisions that shape the iOS application and its direction - Ship production-quality Swift code and maintain a complex, multi-module app architecture - Collaborate within a dedicated product team to plan, sequence, and prioritize upcoming work - Participate in product discussions alongside designers and PMs to influence roadmap choices - Improve performance, reliability, and scalability as the user base continues to expand
Requirements
- Senior-level experience building consumer iOS products that scaled to large user bases - Strong proficiency in Swift and SwiftUI, including hands-on multithreading programming - Experience operating CI/CD pipelines and tooling such as Fastlane - Solid grasp of Git strategies and the ability to design branching approaches for a team - Working knowledge of SOLID principles applied consistently across every class - Track record of taking products from inception through meaningful traction while owning engineering quality
