Role overview Senior iOS engineer role for a fast-scaling text-to-speech reading application that transforms PDFs, articles, books, and other documents into spoken audio. The app sits among the top productivity titles in its category and has earned recognition for inclusive design, and the engineer will help grow the platform, refine the architecture, and contribute to product strategy in a 100% remote, fast-paced organization.
Responsibilities - Take ownership of significant engineering and product decisions for the iOS app - Ship production code regularly to support a rapidly expanding user base - Operate within a dedicated product team, collaborating on priorities and execution - Contribute to product discussions that shape the short- and long-term roadmap - Maintain and enhance a complex, large-scale iOS application architecture
Requirements - Deep proficiency in Swift and SwiftUI - Hands-on experience with multithreading programming on iOS - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Fastlane - Strong grasp of Git, including branching strategies and collaborative workflows - History of engineering consumer products from early concept through meaningful traction - Comfort operating in a high-growth, distributed startup environment
Nice to have - Experience scaling mobile applications to very large user bases - Consistent application of SOLID design principles across a codebase - Background in accessibility-focused or inclusive product development
