About this role
Role overview Help build the core iOS experience for a fast-growing text-to-speech application used by tens of millions of readers worldwide. This is a senior engineering role within a fully remote, flat organisation where strong technical work and consistent delivery open doors to leadership. You'll partner closely with product and design to shape direction while shipping production code that supports an expanding user base.
Responsibilities - Lead significant engineering and product decisions that influence the iOS roadmap - Ship production-quality Swift code as part of an active, dedicated product team - Participate in product discussions and contribute to roadmap planning - Maintain and evolve a complex, large-scale iOS application architecture - Mentor peers through technical excellence rather than formal authority
Requirements - Hands-on experience shipping consumer products that scaled to a large user base - Proven track record taking products from early inception through meaningful traction - Strong product thinking with a customer-obsessed mindset - Comfort making fast, well-judged calls about what to ship now versus later - Proficiency with Swift and SwiftUI
Technical skills - Multithreading programming on iOS - CI/CD pipelines and familiarity with Fastlane - Writing code that adheres to SOLID principles - Git workflows and branching strategies
Nice to have - Background in accessibility-focused product development
