Role overview A widely used text-to-speech platform serving more than fifty million people is hiring a senior iOS engineer to work remotely from or near Des Moines, Iowa. The role supports a fast-scaling productivity app recognized for accessibility and inclusion, combining deep iOS engineering with meaningful product decision-making.
Responsibilities - Drive engineering and product decisions across the iOS application - Ship production code in Swift on an ongoing basis alongside a dedicated product team - Help shape the product roadmap by contributing to strategy and prioritization conversations - Maintain, refactor, and extend a complex existing mobile architecture - Partner with designers, AI specialists, and backend engineers to elevate the user experience
Requirements - History of shipping consumer apps that scaled to large user bases, ideally owning engineering from start through meaningful traction - Strong command of Swift and SwiftUI, with disciplined use of SOLID principles at the class level - Practical experience implementing multithreading on Apple platforms - Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and release automation tools like Fastlane - Proficiency with Git and modern branching strategies
